here is where the goals come in

I've never had much trouble coming up with ideas, but the part about implementing them is where I run into problems. They swarm around in my head like flies. Some of them escape forever, some buzz in my ear and annoy me to death until I do something about them, and some die within 24 hours. That being said, writing my ideas down has always helped me to sort them out. Once I add the ideas to a list, I commit to them. Of course you can give yourself a lot of leeway on time, and stray so far from your original idea by giving yourself exceptions that in the end, what you accomplish is nothing like what you set out to do. But public accountability is a different story. Once I put an idea out here, what I'm HOPING is that I'll have to live up to the goals I set out for myself.


So, what is the goal?
The main goal, of course, is an online identity campaign. In short, I need a portfolio that shows the things I've done so that someday maybe I can actually DO something with them!


What does this entail?
A website including (but not limited to) my photography, my art, my music, my graphics, my writing. Actually doing things, having something to show for myself instead of just sitting around all the time. And this is step one!


Where does this blog come in?
This blog, as previously stated, gives public accountability for my goals. It also provides a place for me to stick all the random stuff I don't know what to do with, the things that wouldn't necessarily have a place on the website I'm working on. (Speaking of the website...) In addition to that, this is where I get to rant about my life and the world I live in, just like every other blogger. Also I want to post pictures of my life so that someday I can look back and reminisce. So in short, this is my online journal and you all get to read it.! I hope you feel special.


There, I did it. I layed out my goals and set out my expectations for myself. Now the test will be to see if I can live up to them....


Because this illustrates how long my last blog lasted.

the beginning

Here is where a person would normally say something along the lines of "Welcome to my blog! The reasons I started it are blah blah blah, I'm going to do blah blah blah with it, stay tuned, here we go" etc, etc. But I don't feel like getting you all hyped when I'm not even sure what I want to do with this yet. At the moment I'm just happy with the design of the thing. :)

That being said I'm going to sleep.
